Daniel Tapper...

...is an award-winning writer, editor and author, specialising in food and drink - as well as a self-taught brewer.

He has contributed to publications including: The Guardian, Guardian Weekend, Cook, The Telegraph, Vice Munchies, Delicious, Dazed & Confused, The Independent and Waitrose Kitchen. He is also the author of Food Unwrapped (Transworld) a book that lifts the lid on the ways in which mass-produced foods are made. And in 2015 he co-penned The Waterside Inn (Quadrille), a book celebrating the history of one of the UK's most-lauded restaurants.

Daniel is naturally very nosey and is regularly commissioned to ask well-known people invasive questions. Over the last few years he's had the pleasure of interviewing the likes of Jon Snow, Florence Knight, Kim Gordon, Roger Moore, Heston Blumenthal, Davina McCall, Michel Roux Jr, Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, Giles Coren, Fergus Henderson, Simon Hopkinson, Kirsty Wark, Albert Maysles and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

In 2010 Daniel co-founded and edited an award-winning magazine, Bread&Butter, dedicated to artisanal British food and drink. He is also the co-founder of a food event called Something About Food and in 2014 opened The Beak brewery.
